A Thrilling Start to YEB 2025 at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus

The first day of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Bootcamp (YEB) 2025 at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus was a perfect blend of inspiration, innovation, and networking. With over 100 participants from diverse backgrounds, Day 1 set the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable journey for aspiring entrepreneurs. The event, a unique initiative designed to foster entrepreneurship and innovation, offered an exciting lineup of talks, networking opportunities, and fun activities.


Morning Sessions: An Inspiring Kickoff

The day began with a hearty breakfast at 8:00 AM in the Dining Hall 1, where participants had the opportunity to connect with each other before the formal proceedings began. At 9:00 AM, the auditorium foyer became buzzing with energy as the Registration & Distribution of YEB Merchandise Kits and I-cards took place. This was followed by a warm welcome from the organizers and a brief introduction to the YEB program by Prof. Pratik Sheth.

Prof. Sheth outlined the detailed day-wise schedule, setting clear expectations for the participants. A Q&A session followed, where Prof. Ruchi Jain Dey and Prof. Akash Chaurasiya answered questions from excited participants eager to learn more about the bootcamp and what lay ahead.


The Inaugural Session: A Star-Studded Line-Up

At 11:20 AM, the auditorium saw the participants assembling for the highly anticipated Inaugural Session, where the day truly began with a touch of grandeur. The lighting of the lamp marked the official beginning of the event.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Prof. Soumyo Mukherjee, the Director of the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, who highlighted the importance of nurturing young entrepreneurial talent and the role of BITS in facilitating such initiatives. Shortly after, Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, the Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani, took the stage to offer his insights on entrepreneurship in today’s rapidly evolving world.


Thought-Provoking Talks and Networking

The first major talk of the day was delivered by Prof. Anil Gupta, who presented a captivating session titled "Samvedana Se Srijansheelta: Is every unmet need a social or economic market?" His insights on identifying societal and economic opportunities through empathy were a thought-provoking start to the day’s sessions.

After a Q&A session, participants enjoyed a brief lunch break, providing them with a chance to mingle with fellow entrepreneurs and speakers alike.

After lunch, the attendees reconvened for Mr. Goutham Kurra’s talk on "How to be a Successful Tech Entrepreneur: A Few Reflections, Insights, and Advice." Mr. Kurra’s wisdom, drawn from his experience of building a successful tech venture, left the audience buzzing with ideas and motivation.

The following session, led by Prof. Ramgopal Rao, addressed the critical intersection between entrepreneurship and sustainability in his talk on "Entrepreneurship and Sustainability." His words reinforced the growing importance of building businesses that not only thrive economically but also contribute positively to society and the environment.


Afternoon and Evening: Creativity and Problem-Solving

After another round of High Tea and Networking, the afternoon continued with a highly engaging session by Mr. Neel Mehta, who shared his expertise on "Creative Problem Solving & Product Innovation using Design Thinking." This session was a real eye-opener for many participants, teaching them how to use design thinking principles to solve complex problems and drive innovation.

Next up was Prof. Arya Kumar, who delved into the key aspects of turning an idea into a successful venture in his talk titled "Idea to Venture – What, Why and How?" His session emphasized the importance of understanding market needs, managing risks, and building sustainable business models.

The formal sessions concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Ruchi Jain Dey and Prof. Akash Chaurasiya, who thanked the speakers, participants, and the organizing committee for a successful first day.


Fun and Ice Breaking: Let the Connections Begin

As the formal sessions wrapped up, the evening shifted gears to an Ice Breaking Session and Fun Activity led by Prof. Sabareesh Geetha Rajasekharan and Prof. Sudha Radhika. The participants were involved in engaging and entertaining activities designed to foster connections and camaraderie among the aspiring entrepreneurs.


The Day Ends on a High Note

The day ended with a delicious Dinner at the auditorium foyer, giving everyone a chance to unwind and continue their conversations in a more informal setting. After a fun-filled day packed with knowledge and networking, the participants proceeded to their respective hostels, eagerly anticipating the next day's sessions.
